The Department of Optometry at the College of Health and Medical Technologies held its first council meeting, chaired by the department head and attended by council members, to discuss several academic and organizational matters related to workflow and preparations for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The meeting addressed scientific and academic plans, the organization of class schedules and lectures (both theoretical and practical), and the readiness of laboratories to ensure a smooth and regular start to the academic year.
The council also discussed mechanisms for improving academic performance and enhancing students' practical training, in addition to several other items on its agenda, and made appropriate recommendations regarding them.
The department head emphasized the importance of integrated efforts among teaching, technical, and administrative staff and assured teamwork, thereby contributing to improving the educational process and achieving the objectives of the department and the college.
