As part of the College of Engineering Technology's efforts to support scientific research and highlight the research output of its faculty, we are pleased to present the joint research of Dr. Mohammed Al-Hajami, Head of the Power Mechanics Engineering Department, entitled:

Economic Environmental-Based Flexible Energy Scheduling in Smart Grids with Renewable Units and Integrated Systems Considering Vehicle Refueling Stations

This research was published in the journal Scientific Reports, published by Nature Portfolio, and ranked in the first quartile (Q1) with an Impact Factor of 4.9.

The research addresses the development of a sustainable energy management strategy for smart grids by integrating renewable energy, electric vehicle charging stations, and hydrogen technologies. The aim is to improve grid efficiency, reduce power losses and peak load, and enhance voltage security.

This research reflects the contributions of the College of Engineering Technology's faculty and staff in the fields of sustainable energy and smart grids, thus strengthening the academic and research presence of Al-Ayen Iraqi University.
