A delegation from Al-Ayen Iraqi University visited the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom. The delegation was headed by the Chancellor of University, Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, and included his Deputies for academic affairs, Prof. Dr. Naseer A. H. Al-Quraishi, and for administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Atheer Y. Awda. This visit aligns with the university's internationalization strategy, its openness to global academic institutions, and its efforts to learn from successful international experiences.
The visit included an extensive tour of the University of Plymouth's educational and research facilities and infrastructure. A series of meetings were also held, addressing several academic matters of mutual interest. These included exploring the possibility of hosting specialized postgraduate programs at Al-Ayen University and learning about the mechanisms for managing and developing academic programs according to best practices in British universities. The two sides also discussed opportunities for collaboration in scientific and research fields and the exchange of expertise.
This visit is part of a series of initiatives undertaken by Al-Ayen University to expand its international presence and achieve positive outcomes that will enhance faculty capabilities, raise the academic level of students, and create new academic opportunities in the coming period.
