On Saturday, May 23, 2026, the College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University commenced the assessment exam for second-year students in the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department. This initiative is part of the college's efforts to enhance the quality of education and implement approved academic standards, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The exams were conducted under the direct supervision of the Chancellor of Al-Ayen University, Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, and the Vice Chancellor for Acedemic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Naseer A. Hussein, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Firas F. Kadhim, with the attendance of the Deputy Dean for Acedemic Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarmad K. Dhiab.
The examination halls were also attended by Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdul-Hussein, Dean of the College of Engineering at Thi-Qar University, representing the Deans' Committee, and several members of the ministerial committee nominated to overseeing the assessment exams. They observed the examination process and monitored the organizational procedures within the halls. The exams were conducted with meticulous organization and continuous monitoring by the examination committees, and all necessary technical and administrative resources were provided to ensure a suitable examination environment for the students.
The college deanship affirmed its commitment to implementing the approved examination regulations and procedures, ensuring fairness, order, and a conducive environment for students during examinations.
Organizing the formative assessment exam is part of the College of Engineering's ongoing efforts to enhance the educational process and raise academic standards, contributing to the development of students with the scientific and practical skills necessary to meet the demands of the labor market and keep pace with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence.
