The College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Division, held an awareness workshop entitled "Empowering and Protecting Women in the Face of Modern Challenges." The workshop was presented by Ms. Saja Taji Abdul Karim attended by a number of faculty members and students.
The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of empowering women and enhancing their status in society by developing their professional and personal skills, and by creating opportunities to support their active participation in various fields of work and creativity. It also aimed to demonstrate the role of empowerment in building a more balanced and stable society.
The workshop covered several topics, most notably developing women's professional and leadership skills, boosting self-confidence, and addressing contemporary social and professional challenges. It also emphasized the importance of legal and social awareness in providing women with the necessary protection and support in different work environments.
It also addressed the importance of keeping pace with modern developments and taking advantage of continuous education and training opportunities to enhance women's efficiency and empower them to perform their various roles effectively and competently.
It witnessed active participation from attendees through a number of comments and inquiries, which enriched the discussion and contributed to the exchange of opinions and experiences on ways to support and empower women.
This workshop is part of the College of Engineering's activities aimed at raising community awareness, supporting initiatives that promote a culture of empowerment and equality, and building a more inclusive and distinguished academic environment.
