As part of Al-Ayen University's plan to achieve sustainable development goals and enhance its role in community service, the staff of the Fuel and Energy Engineering Technology Department at the College of Engineering Technology implemented a voluntary initiative by visiting the State Home for Young Children in Dhi Qar Governorate.
The initiative included celebrating the academic excellence of the children at the house. The teaching and administrative staff shared in the children's joy at this achievement, and gifts were distributed to the high-achieving students to support and encourage them to continue their success.
During the visit, the department rapporteur emphasized the importance of the university's community role, noting that the Fuel and Energy Engineering Technology Department's work extends beyond the academic sphere to include humanitarian initiatives serving the local community in Dhi Qar and Iraqi society in general.
This initiative is part of the College of Engineering Technology's efforts to instill the values of social solidarity and strengthen its humanitarian presence alongside its educational mission.
