The College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Smart Oil Fields (SoF),” presented by Ms Tuqa Mohammed Shayaa, attended by a number of faculty members and students.
The workshop aimed to highlight the concept of SoF and their role in improving the efficiency of oil and gas management and production through the application of modern technologies such as digital systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), and data analytics in operational and monitoring processes.
The workshop included a review of the most prominent components of smart fields and their operational mechanisms, in addition to a discussion of the role of digital transformation in increasing production efficiency, reducing operational costs, and improving decision-making in the oil sector.
The workshop witnessed active participation from attendees through their questions and comments, thereby contributing to enriching the discussion and enhancing the practical understanding of the workshop's topic.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities that the College of Engineering is committed to organize, with the aim of keeping pace with modern developments in the oil and gas sector and enhancing students' specialized knowledge.
