On Thursday, April 30, 2026, the College of Medicine at Al-Ayen Iraqi University welcomed a high-level academic delegation from the College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University. The visit was attended by the Deputy Chancellor of the University for Acedemic Affairs Prof. Dr. Naseer A. Hussein, the Dean of the College Prof. Dr. Adnan T. Al-Khafaji, and the Director of the Academic Affairs Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Maitham T. Al-Mousawi. The delegation participated in the final clinical examinations for fourth-year medical students as part of the university's efforts to enhance the quality of academic evaluation and instill the established scientific standards in medical education.
Prof. Dr. Hussein also observed the clinical examination process at the College of Medicine, who escorted the visiting delegation, which included Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamia Abdul Karim Deputy Rector of Al-Ameed University for Acedemic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Hassan Nasrallah Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Karim Al-Nafiei in charge of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University. They participated in monitoring the clinical examinations and directly supervising the student evaluation procedures.
The visit included a tour of the College of Medicine Teaching Hospital, during which the delegation observed the educational and clinical environment and provided valuable scientific feedback to the students taking the examinations. This feedback aimed to enhance their clinical skills and strengthen their academic and professional competence. The delegation commended the high academic and organizational standards demonstrated by the College of Medicine at Al-Ayen University and its efforts in establishing rigorous standards of medical education.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation members were honored by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and the Dean of the College of Medicine in recognition of their academic contributions and their efforts in supporting clinical examinations and fostering scientific cooperation between the two universities.
