The College of Education, in cooperation with the National Security Directorate, held an awareness seminar entitled "Promoting a Culture of Combating Cyber Extortion Among Youth." The seminar aimed to raise community awareness among young people, informing them of the dangers of cyber extortion and how to prevent it.
The seminar covered several topics, including modern methods of cyber extortion, how to deal with hacking and exploitation attempts on social media platforms, and the legal aspects and procedures for protecting victims and prosecuting perpetrators.
The organizers emphasized the importance of the safe use of technology and fostering trust among young people to report any threats or extortion. They stressed the need for collaboration between educational and security institutions to build a digitally aware and safe society.
