On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the College of Education at Al-Ayen Iraqi University held a scientific seminar entitled “Drugs: A Scourge Ravaging Iraqi Society and the Role of Authorities in Combating them.”
The seminar featured presentations by Prof. Dr. Ali Faris Nasser, Dr. Ali Shabram Alwan and Mr. Mustafa Faris Nasser from the National Security Directorate in Dhi Qar. The seminar addressed educational and scientific topics focusing on the dangers of drugs and their negative effects on individuals and society, as well as reviewing the role of security and academic institutions in curbing the spread of this phenomenon.
