Asst. Prof. Dr. Raed Nasr Al-Obaidi, Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Engineering Technology, Al-Ayen Iraqi University, participated in the scientific conference entitled “Extremism and Artificial Intelligence: Diverse Applications and Utilizing,” hosted by the University of Dhi Qar, with broad participation from academics and researchers.
Dr. Al-Obaidi’s participation came through his membership on the conference’s scientific committee, in addition to his role as rapporteur for one of the scientific sessions. He contributed to managing one of the sessions, following up on its scientific themes, and organizing the presentation and discussion of research papers, reflecting his academic expertise and his role in supporting scientific activity. The conference included the presentation of a range of research papers and studies that addressed topics related to AI and its relationship to societal issues, particularly those connected to the phenomenon of extremism and ways to address it using modern technologies.
This participation underscores the College of Engineering Technology’s commitment to active participation in scientific conferences and to enhancing the role of its teaching staff in various academic forums, thus contributing to the development of scientific standards and the exchange of expertise.
