The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education held a distinguished scientific workshop entitled "Introduction to Nanotechnology and a Practical Glimpse at its Applications," presented by Prof. Dr. Emad El-Din El-Metwally, a faculty member in the Chemistry Department. The workshop aimed to highlight the concept of nanotechnology as one of the most important fields of modern science and to review its most prominent practical applications in various fields such as medicine, industry, energy, and the environment.
During the workshop, the lecturer addressed the scientific foundations of nanotechnology, explaining how materials are manipulated at the atomic and molecular levels. He also presented real-world examples of applications of this technology that have contributed to the development of numerous products and improved their efficiency. The workshop witnessed significant interaction from the students and faculty members in attendance, with numerous questions and discussions that enriched the topic.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities that the Continuing Education Unit is keen to organize, with the aim of enhancing scientific knowledge and keeping pace with modern developments, thereby contributing to raising the academic and research level of the college's members.
