The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Ayen Iraqi University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the university's presidency, held a specialized workshop entitled "How to Register Your RCT Study on Clinicaltrial.gov." The workshop was presented by Dr. Majid Fakher, a lecturer in the Department of Anesthesia Technologies, as part of the college's ongoing efforts to support researchers and academics in meeting international standards for medical research.
The workshop aimed to directly enhance the knowledge base of the college's students and staff by highlighting internationally recognized mechanisms for documenting randomized controlled trials (RCTs). The sessions focused on clarifying the procedural steps necessary for creating research accounts and uploading data related to medical studies.
The workshop also reviewed the importance of pre-registration of clinical studies as a fundamental requirement for ensuring the transparency of scientific research and its acceptance in high-impact journals. Furthermore, it highlighted the role of this procedure in strengthening the university's scientific output and its documentation within international databases, thus contributing to raising the academic ranking of the educational institution.
