The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Ayen Iraqi University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at the university's presidency, organized an expanded specialized workshop entitled "Blood Collection, Plasma Separation (PRP), and Cosmetic Injection Techniques."
The workshop was presented by Dr. Nouras Jamal, Asst. Lecturer Sarah Moussa and Asst. Lecturer Duha Adel from the Department of Cosmetic and Laser Technologies at the college.
This workshop was a strategic step to enhance the participants' competence and connect their scientific and academic skills with the rapid advancements in cosmetic and therapeutic medical specialties, in line with the demands of the modern labor market.
The workshop included intensive training covering both theoretical and practical aspects, highlighting several scientific and practical axes. The first axis addressed the medical principles of blood collection, training participants on correct and safe methods, with a strong emphasis on infection control and occupational safety standards.
The second axis focused on platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, providing a detailed practical explanation of how to use centrifuges and how to efficiently extract plasma for therapeutic and cosmetic purposes.
The third axis explored injection techniques, showcasing the latest cosmetic and therapeutic methods for skin cell regeneration and hair loss treatment, along with a detailed anatomical diagram of the injection sites.
