The College of Engineering Technology at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a workshop entitled “Ethics of Scientific Research.” The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Amir Al-Amiri and Asst. Prof. Dr. Maitham Talib Qasim, as part of the college’s efforts to enhance academic awareness and instill the values of academic integrity.
The workshop was attended by the Dean’s Deputy for Acedemic Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Raed Nasr Al-Obaidi, who followed the workshop activities and participated in supporting the scientific discussions, emphasizing the importance of such workshops in developing the skills of students and researchers. The workshop covered several topics, including the ethical principles that must be adhered to in preparing scientific research, the importance of academic integrity in documenting sources and avoiding plagiarism, as well as an introduction to internationally recognized standards for writing and publishing research.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Dean’s Deputy presented certificates of appreciation to the presenters in recognition of their efforts in making the workshop a success and enriching the students’ scientific knowledge.
