The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Pharmacy, Al-Ain University in Iraq, in cooperation with the university's Continuing Education Center, held a seminar entitled "Suicide: Its Causes and Prevention Methods." The seminar took place at 12:30 PM on Sunday, April 5, 2026, in Hall PH9, and targeted second-year students.

Dr. Shaker Hawla Sabit, head of the unit, presented the seminar, addressing the phenomenon of suicide as a serious pathological issue that threatens both the individual and society. He emphasized the necessity of combating it by clarifying its concept and various dimensions.

The seminar also discussed the most prominent causes that may lead to suicide, including psychological, social, and economic factors. It presented sound scientific methods for addressing this phenomenon and reducing its spread, thereby contributing to enhancing psychological and educational awareness among students.
