The College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Division, organized a training workshop entitled "Occupational Safety and Emergency Procedures on Campus," presented by Mr. Shaker Hadi Thamer. This initiative is part of the college's efforts to promote a culture of safety and preventative awareness among students and staff.
The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with the most important principles of occupational safety within the university environment and the proper procedures for handling emergencies, thereby contributing to minimizing potential risks and accidents.
The workshop also covered several important topics, including safe evacuation procedures, the proper use of safety equipment, and correct actions to take in various emergency situations, in coordination with the relevant civil defense authorities.
The workshop witnessed excellent attendance and significant student engagement, with numerous questions and comments enriching the discussion and reflecting the participants' keen interest in enhancing their knowledge in the field of occupational safety.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific and awareness activities that the College of Engineering is keen to organize, in cooperation with supporting bodies, with the aim of providing a safe educational environment and establishing occupational safety concepts as an essential part of university life.
