The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Ayen Iraqi University demonstrated its leading role in serving the community by launching a comprehensive awareness campaign under the slogan "Together Towards a More Aware and Sustainable Society." This initiative aims to build bridges between the academic institution and the surrounding community by disseminating modern health concepts and establishing a culture of sustainability as a daily lifestyle that benefits both the individual and the environment.
The campaign included a series of interconnected activities, beginning with informative lectures presented by a select group of specialized professors on ways to prevent common diseases, the importance of early detection, and adherence to a healthy lifestyle. This was accompanied by a notable field activity that included conducting immediate medical checkups for visitors, measuring blood sugar and blood pressure levels, determining blood types, and providing direct medical advice to each individual under the supervision of the college's specialized staff.
On the sustainability side, the campaign focused on the importance of preserving environmental resources and reducing the carbon footprint by inviting attendees to use environmentally friendly alternatives and safely dispose of medical and domestic waste to ensure a safer future for the coming generations. The college deanship confirmed in its closing remarks that this campaign is part of a long-term strategy aimed at transforming theoretical knowledge into positive and sustainable community behavior.
