The College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University held a meeting of its council, chaired by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Firas F. The meeting addressed key academic and administrative developments within the college and focused on enhancing the quality of education and scientific research.
The council began the meeting by reviewing the directives issued by the University Council in its eighth session, emphasizing their implementation to ensure the smooth and organized operation of academic and administrative processes in accordance with university policies. The council also discussed the status of the university's institutional accreditation application, specifically as it pertains to the College of Engineering, and reviewed the efforts undertaken to fulfill accreditation requirements and ensure adherence to established academic and institutional standards.
To enhance the educational and examination processes, the council discussed the college's joint examination plan and its implementation mechanisms to guarantee the accurate and fair conduct of examinations for all students. Furthermore, the council reviewed the operations of the college's administrative units and departments, discussing ways to develop and improve the services provided to students and faculty members.
In a significant step to enhance scientific cooperation, a scientific collaboration agreement was signed with the Institute of Geology and Petroleum at Kazan University. This agreement encompasses scientific exchange programs, joint research projects, and workshops, opening new horizons for students and researchers at the college and strengthening its scientific and academic standing.
The council emphasized the importance of following up on the implementation of university directives and developing academic and administrative plans to raise performance levels and enhance scientific research and student activities at the College of Engineering.
