In accordance with the directives of the University Council, the Deanship of the College of Engineering Technology held its eighth meeting for the 2025-2026 academic year, chaired by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Raed N. Al-Obaidi and attended by department heads and faculty members.
The meeting began with a minute of silence and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the martyred Grand Ayatollah Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei and the martyrs of the nation. The meeting then addressed the most important points discussed in the University Council session, including the visit of the university delegation to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its positive outcomes, particularly regarding the establishment of postgraduate studies programs in cooperation with Egyptian universities.
The meeting also discussed the results of the first semester exams for first-year students and the pass rates, emphasizing the importance of submitting reports to the university presidency. Additionally, the meeting addressed the plan for monitoring joint and assessment exams, student absences, and installment payment rates. Furthermore, the importance of activating the media's role in supporting university and college activities was stressed. This involved directing staff to support the media by sharing all university news and encouraging students to join the official university and college pages on all social media platforms.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Asst. Prof. Dr. Al-Obaidi emphasized the importance of adhering to the approved guidelines and redoubling efforts to ensure the quality of the educational process and achieve the best academic results.
