As part of its social responsibility and in embodiment of the values of solidarity and compassion during the holy month of Ramadan, the College of Engineering organized a humanitarian initiative by distributing Ramadan food baskets to a number of needy families. This initiative was made possible through the active support and participation of the Elite Engineering Team and in cooperation with the Student Activities Department at the college.
The Ramadan baskets contained a variety of essential food items to meet the needs of families during the holy month. They were carefully prepared and organized by students and volunteers, and then distributed according to a well-planned mechanism that ensured they reached those in need with respect and care. This initiative contributes to alleviating the burdens of daily life and strengthening the spirit of community solidarity.
This initiative aligns with the second Sustainable Development Goal (Zero Hunger), which focuses on enhancing food security and supporting the most vulnerable groups, reflecting the college's commitment to its humanitarian and developmental role in serving the community.
The college deanship affirmed that these volunteer initiatives embody the college’s mission to instill a culture of giving and humanitarian work among students, and to develop their sense of social responsibility, in line with the academic and ethical values adopted by the college.
