The College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, in cooperation with the university's Continuing Education Center, held an awareness workshop entitled "The Impact of Electronic Games and Social Media on Youth." The workshop was presented by Zain Al-Abidin Adel Harbi, a researcher in the Department of Radiology Technologies, and was attended by a number of faculty members and students.
The workshop focused on the increasing impact of electronic games and social media on young people in light of the widespread use of digital technology and easy internet access.
It aimed to raise participants' awareness of the psychological, social, and behavioral risks resulting from the excessive and unconscious use of these platforms and to introduce them to methods of safe and balanced technology use.
The workshop also highlighted the psychological and behavioral effects of electronic games and social media, the importance of time management and self-monitoring, and the role of families and educational institutions in guidance and monitoring.
