On Sunday, February 22, 2026, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Ayen Iraqi University held a specialized workshop on explaining the concepts and dimensions of program accreditation. The workshop, which began at 2:00 PM, was attended by the Dean of the College and all faculty members.
The workshop aimed to clarify the fundamental aspects of program accreditation and highlight the key requirements for this process. Emphasis was placed on the role of faculty and administrative staff in ensuring the success of the accreditation process and achieving academic quality standards. The workshop also addressed the mechanisms for collaboration between specialized committees and faculty members and the importance of documenting academic and administrative activities in accordance with accreditation requirements.
The workshop was led by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Haider H. Al-Anbari, with the participation of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Shaheen, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit at the College of Pharmacy. They provided a detailed explanation of the program accreditation criteria and answered attendees' questions, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts and teamwork to elevate the academic and administrative standards of the college.
This workshop is part of a series of activities organized by the college in support of the quality and academic accreditation process and out of its keenness to achieve the best approved standards in pharmaceutical education.
