Al-Ayen Iraqi University has achieved a new scientific milestone at the Arab level, with student Haider A. Abdul Kadhim, from the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department in the College of Engineering, won third place in the "Arab Competition for Artificial Intelligence Developers." This competition was held as part of the Iraqi Technology Forum, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the supervision of the Chancellor of the University of Information Technology and Communications (who also chaired the forum).
This outstanding achievement stems from his innovative project, "Pharmacy-X," a fully automated smart pharmacy system based on advanced artificial intelligence technologies. The system possesses a high capacity for reading and analyzing handwritten prescriptions with exceptional accuracy and then automates the dispensing of medications. This effectively contributes to reducing human error and enhancing the efficiency of medical services provided to citizens.
This victory reflects the high scientific levels attained by students of the College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University and their strong ability to compete in regional and international forums. It also embodies the university's vision of supporting digital transformation and adopting innovative technological solutions that serve the community and keep pace with the latest global developments in the medical and technological fields.
