As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University holds a specialized scientific workshop entitled "How to Obtain Funding for Research Projects." This workshop is part of the college's efforts to support scientific research and empower faculty and researchers to develop reliable research projects capable of competing and attracting diverse funding sources.
The workshop will be presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ismail A. Radhi and Prof. Dr. Ahmed A. Al-Amiri. It will cover several key topics, including defining the concept of research funding and its importance in developing research infrastructure, reviewing major funding agencies and available support programs at both the local and international levels, and explaining the steps for online applications and application tracking mechanisms.
The workshop will also include presentations of case studies of funded projects, an explanation of research grant management mechanisms after receiving funding, including administrative and financial aspects and the preparation of periodic reports, and a discussion of ways to build effective research partnerships with academic and industrial institutions to enhance funding opportunities.
This event comes within the college’s directions to consolidate the culture of leadership and innovation, and to encourage quality research output that contributes to serving the community and addressing developmental challenges, thereby enhancing the position of Al-Ayen University in the academic rankings and keeping pace with the requirements of scientific and technological development.
