As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University held a scientific workshop titled “Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Software,” presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Kadhim Dhiab. This workshop reflects the college's commitment to enhancing technological awareness and keeping pace with the rapid digital transformations across various sectors.
The workshop included a comprehensive presentation covering the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity, the types of cyber threats and attacks targeting digital systems, and strategies for protection and building security systems capable of countering cyber risks.
The workshop also explored the role of artificial intelligence technologies in massive data analysis, early detection of breaches, and enhancing the efficiency of incident response systems.
In the software section, the importance of developing applications and systems that incorporate security standards in their design and implementation phases was discussed. The workshop highlighted the complementary relationship between software engineering and information security and its impact on building reliable and sustainable digital environments. Furthermore, the latest global trends in leveraging artificial intelligence to support digital infrastructure in organizations were presented.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the College of Engineering during Global Entrepreneurship Week, confirming its commitment to supporting digital innovation, promoting a culture of cybersecurity, and preparing engineering cadres that possess the cognitive and technical skills necessary to keep pace with the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
