The College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, under the supervision of the Women's Affairs Division, held an awareness workshop entitled "Developing Soft Skills for the Woman the Peacemaker." The workshop was presented by Asst. Lecturer Buthaina Murad Karim and attended by several female faculty members.
The workshop aimed to enhance women's soft skills, particularly in the field of peacebuilding, enabling them to actively contribute to building positive dialogue and managing conflicts peacefully through wisdom and understanding. It also aimed to support their role in establishing the values of coexistence and social stability.
The workshop addressed several topics, including the concept of soft skills and their importance in developing leadership qualities, effective communication mechanisms, building trust, teamwork, and the role of women in spreading a culture of peace and strengthening human relations within society.
The presenter emphasized the importance of empowering women both intellectually and practically and the necessity of supporting their active participation in various fields, given its positive impact on achieving sustainable community development.
This workshop is part of a series of awareness activities implemented by the College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, in support of the programs of the Women’s Affairs Division, and in order to promote community awareness and build human capacities in line with the university’s objectives and academic mission.
