On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the Al-Ayen Iraqi University's Chancellor Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, accompanied by his Deputy for Acedemic Affairs Prof. Dr. Naseer A. Hussein honored the Student Activities Unit at the College of Medicine in recognition of the efforts and achievements of the college in cooperation with the Student Activities Department at the university.
This honor was part of the ministerial participations included in the program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the first semester, and was presented during a ceremony held by the Presidency of Al-Ayen Iraqi University, attended by a number of department heads, faculty members, and students.
These participations contributed to achieving advanced results and honorable rankings in various competitions covering scientific, athletic, artistic, cultural, and social fields, with the participation of a select group of Iraqi universities.
The meeting also highlighted the humanitarian and community role played by the College of Medicine at Al-Ayen Iraqi University through its active participation in volunteer work and field visits, embodying the college's mission to serve the community and promote the values of giving and social responsibility among its students.
In the same context, the aforementioned unit honored outstanding students who achieved success and top rankings in various activities. The administration of Al-Ayen Iraqi University emphasized that this recognition comes in appreciation of the efforts made, in support of the student body's creativity and excellence, and to enhance the university's presence in ministerial and national forums.
