Under the direct guidance of the Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Ayen University Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Taan Al-Khafaji, the college, actively participated in the training course, which was attended by representatives from medical colleges across various Iraqi universities.
This course aimed to introduce the latest international accreditation standards and ensure the quality of medical education, in accordance with the requirements of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and the mechanisms for their implementation within educational institutions. The course included a detailed presentation of the main pillars and methods of international accreditation, in addition to a discussion of ways to implement these standards in medical education programs to ensure improved educational outcomes.
The College of Medicine at Al-Ayen Iraqi University was represented at this scientific event by a delegation of faculty and administrative staff. Prof Dr. Al-Khafaji stated that the college continues its efforts to enhance its capabilities in quality assurance and academic accreditation and to achieve international standards of excellence. This contributes to preparing graduates on high scientific and professional foundations and keeping pace with the best international practices in medical education.
This participation comes as part of Al-Ayen University's efforts to support continuing education and develop academic programs and reaffirm its commitment to achieving quality standards and institutional accreditation at both the local and international levels.
