Under the sponsorship of the Al-Ayen Iraqi University's Chancellor Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, the Continuing Education Department, the College of Engineering Technology, the College of Engineering, and the College of Science, in cooperation with the Falcons ( Al-Siqoor) Intelligence Cell – Dhi Qar, organized a scientific workshop entitled:
“Exploring the Common Ground Between Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.” The workshop was held at the College of Engineering Technology, which was represented by the Deputy Dean for Acedemic Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Raed N. Al-Obaidi, and was attended by faculty and students from the Cybersecurity Engineering and Computer Engineering Technology departments.
The workshop, presented by Lieutenant Colonel Ashraf Adel Fahd, a security expert specializing in artificial intelligence, addressed the importance of the proper use of AI technologies, mechanisms for formulating questions directed at AI systems to obtain accurate results, and highlighted the security of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). It also explained the concepts of security teams Red Team and Blue and their role in protecting systems, along with practical examples illustrating the mechanisms of work in this field.
This workshop is part of the efforts of the College of Engineering Technology at Al-Ayen Iraqi University to enhance the practical aspect for students and link theoretical concepts with modern cybersecurity requirements, thus contributing to preparing technical personnel capable of keeping pace with the rapid developments in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital security.
