The Continuing Education Department, in cooperation with the College of Science and the Community Policing Department, held a scientific awareness workshop entitled "Building a Cybersecurity Culture within the Academic Institution," with the participation of a elite group of faculty members, students, and staff.
The workshop included specialized scientific sessions addressing cybersecurity concepts, the challenges associated with cybercrimes, methods of prevention, and the importance of establishing a culture of safe use of modern technologies in educational institutions. It was presented by Major Ahmed Majid Kamel, Deputy Director of the Community Policing Department in Dhi Qar, along with Mr. Abdul Rahman Abbas Jassim, Director of the Continuing Education Department, and in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Inas Razzak Kadhim, Dean of the College of Science.
The Chancellor of Al-Ayen University, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Amir Marhoon received Major Ahmed Majid Kamel, expressing his gratitude for his scientific and awareness-raising efforts. In a gesture of appreciation, he was presented with the university's plaque in recognition of his active participation and role in disseminating cybersecurity awareness within the academic community.
