The Department of Art Education at the College of Education, in cooperation with the Department of Media at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, organized a lecture entitled "Mechanisms of Artistic Composition and Aesthetic Persuasion in Television Coverage of Theatrical Performances and Fine Art." The lecture was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Saidi, current director of UTV, former director of Al-Hurriya Iraq Channel, and professor of media at the College of Media, University of Dhi Qar.
The lecture addressed the artistic and aesthetic foundations of television coverage of theatrical performances and fine art, highlighting the mechanisms of visual composition and their role in achieving aesthetic persuasion and influencing the audience. It also discussed the importance of employing elements of television imagery, such as lighting, camera angles, camera movement, and directing, in conveying the artistic experience and preserving its expressive value.
During his remarks, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Saidi emphasized the pivotal role of television media in presenting the arts to the public, noting that the integration of artistic vision and media treatment contributes to delivering the aesthetic message more effectively and impactfully.
The lecture witnessed a remarkable turnout and interaction from professors, students, and those interested in art and media within an academic atmosphere aimed at fostering dialogue between the fields of art and media.
