The Chancellor of Al-Ayen University, Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon congratulated Mr. Haitham Al-Hamdani, on assuming the position of Governor of Dhi Qar during an official visit to the governorate headquarters.
The delegation included the university chancellor's deputies for academic and administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Naseer A. Hussein and Asst. Prof. Dr. Atheer Y. Awda, the Dean of the College of Engineering Prof. Dr. Firas F. Kadhim, the Dean of the College of Law Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid K. Awda, and the Director of the Academic Affairs Department Dr. Maitham T. Al-Moussawi.
During the visit, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the university and the local government in the fields of education, community services, and research projects, ensuring the exchange of academic expertise and supporting sustainable development in the province.
The university delegation expressed their best wishes to the governor for success in his duties.
In his turn, the Governor of Dhi Qar appreciated the visit, praising the university's scientific and academic role and its readiness to support the governorate's efforts.
