The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law organized a workshop titled "Suspension of Duty and its Implications for Career Paths," presented by Asst. Lecturer Amjad Mohammed Najm.
The workshop comprised three main axes. The first axis defined the concept of suspension of duty and its various types in Iraqi legislation and some comparative legal systems, clarifying the legal foundations upon which this procedure is based.
The second axis addressed the legal consequences of suspension of duty, particularly its impact on promotions, salary, and career paths, presenting practical examples of administrative decisions.
The third axis focused on the nature of the suspension procedure and identified the judicial authority responsible for overseeing it, highlighting the most important relevant judicial principles.
In conclusion, the lecturer offered a set of recommendations aimed at enhancing legal awareness and clarifying and strengthening understanding of sound legal procedures.
The workshop witnessed active participation from the attendees, with contributions that enriched the discussion.
