With deep sadness and sorrow, and full believe in God's will and destiny, the College of Engineering Technology held a moment of silence and recited Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of its deceased student, Haider Bassem Abdul Razzaq, a fourth-year Computer Engineering Technology student, who passed away due to a tragic accident.
Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Raed Nasr Al-Obaidi delivered a speech on the occasion, expressing his deep condolences to the deceased's family and colleagues. He recalled his academic career and exemplary morals, emphasizing that the college had lost one of its distinguished sons. He also prayed to God Almighty to bestow His mercy upon him and grant him a place in Paradise and to inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
In a spirit of humanitarian and professional solidarity, a delegation from the college, including the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and elite group of faculty and administrative staff, visited the deceased's family. They offered their condolences to his family, conveying their sincere sympathies on behalf of the college's deanship and all its members.
While the College of Engineering Technology expresses its deep regret for this great loss, it prayed to God Almighty to protect its students and all its members from all harm and misfortune.
