Asst. Prof. Dr. Rafid S. Al-Jubouri Dean of the College of Engineering Technology represented Al-Ayen Iraqi University in the expanded meeting hosted by Dhi Qar University. The meeting was attended by an elite academic and administrative figures, including Prof. Dr. Kamal H. Al-Yasiri President of Dhi Qar University; Professor Dr. Adel Radhi Al-Zarkani President of Sumer University, Prof. Dr. Razzaq K. Al-Ghazi First Deputy Governor of Dhi Qar, along with a number of deans of the faculties of medicine, science, and computer science.
The meeting discussed ways to develop applied research in medical and scientific fields, enhance the role of universities in providing solutions to societal challenges, and discuss mechanisms for twinning and academic cooperation with reputable Iranian universities, expand opportunities for joint supervision of graduate studies, develop joint academic programs, and benefit from scholarships for students in the province.
Participants emphasized that this cooperation represents a strategic step toward advancing scientific and research standards and strengthening the governorate's position as an academic hub, paving the way for international partnerships to exchange expertise and develop the educational process. They emphasized the need to develop a roadmap for following up on the meeting's outcomes and transforming them into practical projects that serve society and the educational process.
