As part of Al-Ayen Iraqi University's endeavors to support the efforts of the Independent High Electoral Commission and raise community awareness of the importance of updating voter cards and exercising the right to vote, the Continuing Education Department held a workshop entitled:
"Your voter card is your identity and your vote."
This workshop affirmed the university's awareness-raising role and its commitment to empowering voters and promoting informed and responsible electoral participation. A number of university affiliates attended the workshop, along with a group of accredited election observers.
The workshop was delivered by Mr. Haider Aziz Odeh, Director of Media at the Dhi Qar Elections Office, and Mr. Razzaq Obaid Dhaher, Head of the United Nations-accredited Tammuz Organization for Election Observation.
The workshop covered several topics, most notably the importance of updating electoral data, the role of voter cards in the democratic process, and election monitoring mechanisms to ensure integrity and transparency.
This event is part of a series of activities implemented by the university to promote electoral awareness and support the democratic process in Iraq.
