The College of Medical Technology, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, holds a workshop entitled "Oral and Dental Health." As part of the joint cooperation between the colleges and continuing education centers, the College of Medical Technology, in coordination with the Continuing Education Center at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, held a scientific awareness workshop entitled:
"Oral and Dental Health and Its Relationship to the Nutritional Status of the Elderly."
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Sanaa Nouri, who addressed the close relationship between oral and dental health and nutrition in the elderly. She noted that deteriorating oral health can lead to poor nutrition due to difficulty chewing or swallowing, which negatively impacts the overall health of the elderly.
The workshop also discussed the most important factors affecting oral health at this age, prevention and care methods, and presented real-life cases and appropriate nutritional and therapeutic guidelines.
The workshop was attended by faculty members, students, and interested parties.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities aimed at raising health awareness and promoting a culture of prevention and proper nutrition in society, particularly among vulnerable age groups such as the elderly.
