As part of its social responsibility and its efforts to promote the values of social solidarity, the College of Engineering distributed various food baskets to needy families during the blessing month of Ramadan, contributing to alleviating the living burdens on needy families.
The baskets included basic food items that meet the needs of families, as the college was keen to deliver them to those entitled to them to ensure that they benefit from them during this blessing month. This initiative came out of a belief in the importance of community support and the necessity of extending a helping hand to the most needy groups.
This step is in line with the second goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Zero Hunger), which seeks to achieve food security and improve nutrition, by providing basic needs for needy groups and enhancing food stability in society.
