My dear sons and daughters, first-year students,
May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you,
With all feelings of pride and hope, I welcome you to the College of Engineering Technology, this edifice that embraces ambition, nurtures creativity, and seeks to build a generation of competencies capable of facing the challenges of the future.
Joining us is not just a passing academic stage but rather the beginning of a journey that will shape the features of your future and determine the impact of your presence in this world. Today, you are entering a world full of challenges, but at the same time, full of opportunities that await those who have the passion and determination to invest in them.
In this college, you will find yourselves in front of open doors to science and knowledge, and in front of you is an elite group of professors who spare no effort in supporting and assisting you. But your success will not be achieved unless you decide to be the main driver of this success by insisting on learning, openness to experiences, and benefiting from every moment you spend here.
My sons / daughters, science is the light that illuminates the paths of humanity, and technology is the language of the age that connects the entire world. So be among those who carry this light and weave their future and the future of their countries with it. Work on developing yourselves not only scientifically but also humanly and morally. Search for creativity within yourselves, and do not be afraid to try and experiment because failure is not the end of the road, but a step on the path to success.
I call on you to be a role model in commitment and discipline, to interact with your colleagues in a team spirit, and to respect time, science, and knowledge. Make your years in this college a station for achievement and inspiration, and build bridges of relationships that will accompany you throughout your lives.
Finally, remember that you are the future and you are the ones who will write new pages in the record of this college and in the history of our country. So be worthy to our trust in you.
