In an attempt to enhancing academic cooperation and expanding the horizons of knowledge for female students in the fields of modern engineering, the Department of AI Engineering at the College of Engineering at Al-Ayen Iraqi University organized a scientific visit to Al-Hawra Vocational Secondary School for Girls, on Monday, November 18, 2024.
The visit included a scientific training workshop that focused on the applications of AI Engineering in various fields of engineering, presented by the Asst. Lecturer Zainab Abdul-Kazem in the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, where the basic concepts of AI were explained and how to use it in developing smart engineering systems. The workshop covered topics such as machine learning, neural networks, and pattern recognition, with a presentation of how to apply these technologies in innovative engineering projects. The practical sessions also included training female students on the use of some tools and software related to artificial intelligence.
In addition, the workshop addressed the impact of artificial intelligence in fields such as robotics, automation, and medical engineering while clarifying the importance of these technologies in the future of engineering and technology. Mrs. Abdul-Kazem and the students of the AI Engineering Department also discussed the importance of learning these skills at an early stage and how they can contribute to opening new doors for female students in the labor market.
In conclusion, the students expressed their enthusiasm for the knowledge they gained during the workshop and stressed their desire to deepen their knowledge in this promising field. This visit comes as part of a series of activities organized by the department to enhance cooperation between colleges and technical schools and encourage female students to continue their studies in the fields of modern technology and engineering.
The visit is an important step in linking academic education with practical applications, which contributes to preparing a new generation of creative female engineers capable of facing the challenges of the future with their skills and innovation.
