The Student Activities Department at Al-Ayen Iraqi University achieved an advanced position in the Iraqi Universities Championship held by the Student Activities Department at the Ministry of Higher Education at the University of Technology in the capital, Baghdad, with the participation of over 54 public and private universities.
Director of the Student Activities Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussein M. Taama, said, "Our university was able to achieve fifth place for male students and sixth place for female students among private and public universities and colleges, and we entered the scoring classification for the first eight teams.
He added that Al-Ayen Iraqi University's share of individual awards was that student Mujtaba Ahmed won the title of (Backgammon Champion) in the male category, as well as student Taqwa Osama Nasser won the title of (Backgammon Champion) among female students.
