On Monday, February 19, 2024, the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized a memorial ceremony for the soul of the late Dr. Ibrahim Hammoud Khaliwi, in the central conference hall at the university.
The ceremony was attended by the Chancellor of Al-Ayen Iraqi University Prof. Dr. Shafik S. Shafik, his Deputy for Scientific Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, the Dean of the College Prof. Dr. Muhammad A. Al-Tahan, his assistants, the teaching staff, the college’s employees and students, and representatives of the family of the deceased.
It began with a fragrant recitation of the Holy Qur’an, the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah to bless the soul of the deceased, and a speech by the University Chancellor and the college dean, recalling his good qualities, as he was the source of knowledge for his students and had a prominent role in establishing and building this college.
The ceremony concluded with a video presentation that included a biography of the deceased’s academic and personal life, in which attendees recalled the beautiful moments and memories that brought them together with him.
