1. On Sunday, October 13, 2024, Al-Ayen Iraqi University hosted the third meeting of the Higher Committee for Education in the province, chaired by the First Deputy Governor of Dhi Qar, Professor Razzaq Kashish Al-Ghazi. Also in attendance were the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at Al-Ayen University, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Marhoon, and the presidents of the universities in the province. The meeting discussed the establishment of a "Dhi Qar Development Conference." The establishment of a Dhi Qar Heritage Museum, which would showcase the province's heritage, was also discussed, with the aim of preserving Dhi Qar's legacy and commemorating its significant role at the national level

2. Professor Dr. Shafiq Shaker Shafiq Al-Mawla, President of Al-Ayen Iraqi University, participated in the first Women's Development and Creativity Festival, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The event was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, several presidents of public and private universities, and prominent academic and cultural figures.
Al-Ayen University's participation in this event reflects its commitment to empowering women, supporting creativity and women's development, and encouraging its students and staff to achieve accomplishments that contribute to serving and developing society. The festival included an awards ceremony honoring winning universities, including Al-Ayen Iraqi University, represented by its President ,for the university's significant community services that contribute to women's development and empowerment in society. 3. On Saturday, November 30, 2024, Al-Ayen Iraqi University inaugurated Global Entrepreneurship Week, with a distinguished gathering of academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, and students in attendance. The opening ceremony included an opening address by the university president, delivered by the assistant president for scientific affairs, Dr. Haider Abdul-Amir Marhoon. In his address, Dr. Marhoon emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation within the academic community and the necessity of supporting entrepreneurial projects to empower youth and achieve sustainable development.

The first lecture, presented by Professor Dr. Hasnaa Mohammed Hassan Al-Azroush, was titled “Promoting the Concept of Entrepreneurship in University Culture.”
The second lecture, presented by Professor Dr. Abdul-Hadi Mohammed Idkhil, was titled “Artificial Intelligence in Developing the Work Environment: Towards a Sustainable Future.”
The third lecture, presented by Dr. Murtadha Dughaim Abdullah, was titled “Bridging the Gap Between Universities and Industry: Science Parks as a Model.”

5. In coordination with the Dhi Qar Police Command and the Ministry of Water Resources, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Ayen Iraqi University organized a field visit to the Al-Chibayish Marshes in Dhi Qar Governorate on Sunday, March 3, 2024. The visit included several key activities, the first of which was a scientific seminar led by Dr. Ammar Zuhair Sabri, Head of the Theoretical Sciences Department at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The seminar addressed the Ministry of Higher Education’s curricula and the university presidency’s directives on preserving the cultural heritage of the marshes and promoting it as part of the world heritage. 6. The Psychological and Educational Counseling Division at Al-Ayen Iraqi University , represented by Professor Dr. Jalal Shinta Jabr, met with Mr. Alaa Mashi Al-Akeeli, Director of the Rehabilitation Center for Drug Addicts and Substance Abusers in Dhi Qar, to discuss prospects for cooperation. Through this visit, we aim to learn about the number of addicts, the nature of their substance use, the types of drugs consumed, the entities cooperating with them, and the legal provisions concerning drug users. The university strives to open new avenues of cooperation with other institutions to enhance its role and achieve its objectives by conducting studies and forming research teams to address social issues. 7. The Dean of the College of Law, Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Kadhim Awda Al-Ibrahimi, participated in the fifth Al-Rafidain Forum (RCD Forum) in Baghdad, in the presence of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and more than 1,000 political and academic figures from 35 Arab and foreign countries.The fifth forum, entitled "The Future of Humanity: Crises and Solutions," aims to showcase a positive image of Baghdad. Participants will discuss international, regional, and local issues related to the future of humanity, the transformations in the general situation both domestically and internationally, and ways to overcome these crises. Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Muhibis, Head of the Student Activities Department, received a delegation from the Iraqi Athletes Syndicate – Dhi Qar Branch, headed by the Syndicate President, Captain Sarmad Mohammed Redha, to explore prospects for joint cooperation between the two institutions. The Continuing Education Center at Al-Ayen Iraqi University in cooperation with the Martyrs Foundation in Dhi Qar Governorate, organized a scientific symposium entitled “The Speicher Massacre: Mass Killing and Intent to Commit Genocide. The symposium was delivered by Mr. Muhannad Hadi Al-Shahtur, Director of the Martyrs Foundation in Dhi Qar, and was attended by a number of academics, security personnel, and students.
