Al-Ayen Iraqi University provides dedicated support services to meet the academic, social, and psychological needs of people with disabilities. These services include personal assistance, academic support, and psychological counseling programs to ensure students’ well-being and academic success. The university conducts regular meetings with students with disabilities to review and address their needs, ensuring responsive adaptation of facilities and services. It also organizes workshops and awareness programs that focus on disability inclusion and early psychological support from childhood.

1. As part of its continuous commitment to empowering students and promoting community engagement, Al-Ayen Iraqi University organized multiple activities within the Global Entrepreneurship Week, including events that support inclusion, creativity, and social responsibility, such as:

  • Electronic Marketing Projects – College of Pharmacy

  • Health Awareness for Children and People with Disabilities – College of Dentistry

  • Entrepreneurship and Technical Innovation Exhibition – College of Engineering Technology

  • Charity Bazaar for Orphan Support – College of Education

  • Community Volunteering Fair – College of Law

These activities reflect the university’s holistic approach to education, combining innovation, humanitarian action, and inclusion, particularly through initiatives addressing disability awareness, charitable engagement, and student entrepreneurship.

2. Al-Ayen Iraqi University organized a workshop titled “Psychological Support for People with Disabilities: Toward a Happier and More Independent Life,” focusing on inclusion and empowerment for students with disabilities. The event highlighted the university’s role in fostering equal learning opportunities, social cohesion, and peer support. It supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by promoting awareness, accessibility, and equality within the university community.

3. Al-Ayen Iraqi University held a meeting with students with special needs, attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Abdul-Amir Marhoon, and the Psychological Counseling Department staff.
