Al-Ayen Iraqi University is committed to enhancing access to essential services for its local community through various initiatives aimed at supporting low-income individuals and students. One significant program is the provision of free dental consultations at the university hospital, which directly improves access to vital health services for financially disadvantaged community members. Additionally, the university hosts community iftar events for staff, dormitory students, and orphans, fostering social cohesion and providing nutritional support during the holy month of Ramadan. Furthermore, the university organizes workshops focused on career and employment guidance, enhancing students' employability and skill development. These diverse activities reflect Al-Ayen's dedication to creating an inclusive environment and ensuring that essential services are accessible to all, thereby contributing to the overall well-being of the community and aligning with SDG 1.4.3.
1- Al-Ayen University’s Teaching Hospital Provides Free Consultations for Dental Health
In celebration of World Oral Health Day, the Teaching Hospital for Dentistry at Al-Ayen University offered free consultations to students, faculty members, and the general public. This initiative not only raises awareness about the importance of oral health but also directly addresses financial barriers to dental care. By providing these consultations at no cost, the hospital supports efforts to alleviate poverty by ensuring that individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds can access essential health services. Access to dental care is vital for overall well-being, and such outreach programs contribute to reducing health disparities within the community, promoting a healthier and more equitable society.

2- University of Al-Ayen Hosts Community Iftar for Staff, Dormitory Students, and Orphans
In a heartfelt gesture of community service, the University of Al-Ayen organized a communal iftar for all dormitory students, staff members, and a group of orphans. This initiative is part of the university's annual program aimed at supporting orphans specifically and providing assistance to students from remote areas during the holy month of Ramadan.

3- The Career and Employment Division, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center at Al-Ayen University, held a workshop presented by Engineer Laith Raji Al-Tuma. Attended by faculty members and students from the College of Engineering Technology, the session covered strategic planning and SWOT analysis for student projects. It focused on enhancing personal skills, understanding the job market, and identifying available opportunities. This workshop supports SDG 1 by empowering students to improve their employability and secure income-generating opportunities, contributing to poverty alleviation.
