Prof. Dr. Adnan T. Al-Khafaji, Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Ayen Iraqi University and a consultant in cardiology and catheter intervention, chaired the inaugural session of the Kurdistan Society of Cardiologists and Thoracic Surgeons Conference, held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the University of Duhok. The conference was attended by elite physicians and specialists in internal medicine and cardiology.
He participated in the conference alongside a number of internal medicine and cardiology physicians from Al-Ayen University as part of the university's efforts to enhance its scientific presence and exchange medical expertise with academic and specialized institutions.
