The Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Ayen Iraqi University, Prof. Dr. Adnan Taan Al-Khafaji held the first meeting with the Surgery Department, coinciding with the start of the 2026-2027 academic year. The meeting, attended by faculty members of the department, focused on discussing the requirements of the educational process and clinical training for all academic levels, with a particular emphasis on fifth-year students.
The meeting addressed the mechanisms of organizing theoretical lectures, practical and clinical training, stressing the importance of developing students' surgical skills, and of modern medical education.
Preparations for the fifth-year students' training were also discussed, including creating a suitable clinical environment to ensure the achievement of educational objectives and enhance their scientific and practical competence.
The Dean emphasized the importance of coordination between the College Deanship and the Surgery Department, teamwork to ensure the smooth operation of the educational process , and the best possible results during the new academic year.
