The Presidency of Al-Ayen Iraqi University honored the Student Activities Division at the College of Engineering.

As part of its ongoing support for student activities and its encouragement of creative talents, the Presidency of Al-Ayen Iraqi University honored the Student Activities Division at the College of Engineering, represented by Lecturer Abbas Abdul-Ali, in recognition of its excellence and effective efforts in successfully participating in ministerial events and achieving advanced rankings among Iraqi universities.

This took place during a ceremony held by the University Presidency, attended by the Al-Ayen University's Chancellor Prof. Dr. Haider A. Marhoon, his Deputy for Acedemic Affairs Prof. Dr. Naseer A. Hussein, along with a number of department heads, faculty members, and students.

The University Presidency emphasized that this honor comes in appreciation of the significant efforts exerted by the Student Activities Division and its distinguished role in supporting and motivating students to actively participate in ministerial activities included in the curriculum of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the first semester.

The university participated in 11 ministerial activities, with its students achieving six top rankings. These included first place in the Southern Region Volleyball Championship for male students and second place for female students, achieving first place in the national scout camp for scouts, fourth place in the women's table tennis championship, fifth place in the football championship, and fifth place in the national short story competition.

The awards ceremony also honored several coaches and supervisors, including Mr. Mohammed Hussein Jassim, the football team coach, and Mr. Aqeel Jabbar, the table tennis coach, as well as the heads of student activity units in all colleges.

The university administration stated that this achievement reflects the high level of the university's students and embodies its commitment to strengthening its presence in ministerial and national events. The administration affirmed its continued support for student activities as a fundamental pillar in building the character of university students.
