The College of Pharmacy at Al-Ayen Iraqi University held its fourth general assembly meeting on Sunday, December 21, 2025. The meeting was attended by Dr. Haider Al-Anbari, Dean of the College and Chairman of the Council, the Assistant Dean for Acedemic Affairs, department heads, faculty members, and administrative and technical staff.
This meeting is the second general assembly meeting of the current academic year, following the first meeting held in September. It was convened to monitor the progress of the academic process and evaluate the achievements of the first semester, which is nearing its end.
The meeting began with a presentation by the College Council, highlighting the most significant achievements and successes of the past semester. Following this, the Dean of the College delivered a speech expressing his deep gratitude and appreciation to the faculty for their outstanding scientific and academic efforts. He commended the administrative staff for their role in organizing and supporting academic work, and also praised the diligent work of the technical and laboratory staff, which contributed significantly to the success of the practical and applied aspects of the program.
In another segment, the Dean presented a set of organizational and academic recommendations and guidelines for the upcoming phase. He indicated a focus on updating the curriculum and adopting new educational approaches in pharmaceutical education, in accordance with the PharmD system, starting from the first year and progressing to advanced levels in the coming years. He also highlighted the most prominent positive aspects and observations that emerged during the current semester.
The Deputy Dean also addressed several observations and recommendations related to administrative and teaching performance and the work that took place during the past semester.
The meeting included a workshop presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Kadhim Obaid, who discussed the academic instructions for the examination committee and the mechanisms for organizing final exams, in addition to the general preparations and readiness of the College of Pharmacy for the upcoming examination period.
In conclusion, the Dean reiterated his thanks and appreciation to the attendees, wishing everyone continued success and emphasizing the importance of continued teamwork to serve the students and advance the academic progress of the college.
